How to Start Healing
When you read this, slow down.
Slower.
Slower.
Your thoughts are a million miles a minutes, I know. Breathe. Slower.
Inhale through your nose. Notice the expansion of your chest.
Exhale through your mouth. Slower.
Inhale, exhale. Really notice the expansion of your chest.
Slower.
What’s there?
That sensation in your body - what is it? The racing heart, the pit in your stomach, the tense muscles. It’s been there all along, simmering beneath the surface.
Turn off the autopilot. The one driven by a world hungry for more, more, more. Faster, faster, faster.
Slow down.
Breathe.
Slower.
The discomfort coming to the surface? The feeling you’ve been working so hard to avoid? Your body has something to say. It knows what doesn’t feel right.
Listen.
Breathe.
Slow down.
The roots of your experience - so long ignored. Decisions made on autopilot. Faster, faster. Avoid, avoid.
Listen.
Breathe.
Slow down.
Allowing yourself to slow. This is healing.
Letting your nervous system be heard. This is healing.
Returning to the root. This is healing.
